Quote:and i cant stress enough the importance of running the pipes from the turbo to the DRIVER side first, then from the passenger to the throttle body. theres less bends, less piping(i measured), and it has lass boost loss(about 1lb per 10lb of boost from what ive seen.

Great, now I have to redo my pipes to get this done. But it looks like its worth it.

it is. the ihi maxes out on almost any custom setup, at a given RPM, depending on mods. my mods maxed it out at around 4500, with the NPR. i swapped the pipes around, and it now maxes out at 4800. that 300MORE RPMS of max boost(20PSI)...that was worth 3/10ths.

While you guys are on the subject of intercoolers, has anyone ever tried welding lots of fins or anything of the sort onto their pipes, to help dissipate more heat? Basically turning the IC pipes into one long heat sink.

The piping would have to be exposed to nice cool air as well.

Which is a problem in the engine bay of a car.
