Black Rims

I'm getting kind of tired of the dirty, lackluster silver rims on my car and have been considering painting them a nice black to match the moulding. Does anybody have any recommendations as to how I should go about this? I wanna keep it cheap and easy and don't want any shine to the rims, but I also don't want to just spray paint them with no prior preparations and have the paint flake off after a few weeks.

go to showroom and look at joey hagers car.. minus the pen stripe which is already gone this car looks pretty good.. he swapped rims with a guy who had a mustang.. used to be gold but he just sprays them once a month or when needed

I painted mine white.
What I would do is sandblast them first then use a good acrylic enamel with hardener.
Let them cure before mounting and have the tire guy take it easy.

First... I want to get my rims back to their like new (1984) luster.

Second, where can I get a white windshield banner like the red one on Joey's rear window?
