That is very good to hear. I'd hate to seen another one go to the salvage yard.
This is why I have been fighting my wife for the last two years to keep both my TC's (one parts car (88 TC) and one that will be on the road again (85 TC)...sometime). She seems to think that they both need to be stripped down and what is left gotten rid of. Even if I did that, would need somewhere to keep the parts. So what do you do???

My current daily driver is like yours, the D/S 1/4 panel had nothing in it but waves and wrinkles, the tail lights were busted out, and the bumper cover was broken and laying on the ground. If I can find the pics of it I will post them later. I spent $1200 at my favorite body shop (owned by a shirt-tail relitive) and got the old gal back up on the road (see my TC in the showroom James Bird). I just have to replace the side marker lights and body molding and get the scratches that the neighborhood kids put in it with their damn bike handle bars fixed (the thing is scratched from one end to the other...damn kids) with a new paint job from top to bottom.

Jim, ask your wife what she has against you keeping older sentimental items around that you are emotionaly attached to. Tell her that you keep her around, and she doesn't even have any extra parts. Then run like hell to your lawyer.

rairbird...my wife says that she would have offered you some extra parts free, but for that you won't be getting them, hehehe. Just kidding. We both got a good laugh out of the comment.

Seriously, if you were closer, I would give you the right side 1/4 panel off of my 88 TC parts car. Just so you can keep yours up and going. My 88 TC parts car is way beyond fixing and driving. The left 1/4 won't ever be sold, it has a hole in it where the body filler fell out and it is a 1/4" deep to the bare metal. The entire car has be repainted but its flaking off, it was put on over the clear coat, WTF???? Don't worry, I did not do it, it was done along time ago by someome else, PO I guess.
