Well at least everyone was ok. Yeah it's mangled but that's what it was designed to do. Imagine the whiplash if the damage was less.
I'm sure you have heard me on my horse about insurance but my gut tells me the body guy is usually in on it; unless it's someone you have reason to trust. Not a "body work factory". If he says they are going to totall it you need to figure out what she's worth and prove it. They sure won't. At least get your money back so you can purchase an equal car, and don't let them have yours neither .

Thanks, but shipping from the west coast is probably around $1200. Way beyond what I want to spend to ship something right now.

I still hope your's can be repaired Frank, but if not and if you can find something within a days drive, I've got a truck and I'm usually up for a road trip. Let me know if I can be any help.

Thanks a lot Eric. I really appreciate the offer. If we can't find something on this side, there might be something close by on the other side we can drag over the border.

I work in a body shop and it does not sound that bad with your description and I bet it can be fixed to where you can't tell it has been damaged unless your really looking for it. Take it to a competent frame shop and have them pull on it. You would be surprised what 10,000 pounds of pulling force can do to crumpled sheet metal. I know, I have pulled out damage on several cars that have been writen off by the owners and the insurance companies and made them almost perfect again. A lot of times the buckles in exterior sheet metal will almost disappear, and require minimal repair, when you pull the underlying supports back to where they belong. It would be worth trying if you want to keep the car and frame rack time is usually not real expensive. Just my two cents...Tommy

Sorry to hear about your TC. Hope everything works out for you. If it were me, I would hold out for another TC. Mustangs are a dime a dozen, IMO dont look 1/2 as good as a TC, are cop magnets, and generally have more squeeks and rattles than any other car on the road.

Try to get some anyway I'd offer you some 1/4 panels and what not, but the only parts car I have left was sideswiped by a 18-wheeler! Keep your eyes peeled for a TC though, Jeff speaks the Gospel.
