Best Timing Belt Brands??

I've been looking on line for a new timing belt for my TC. I have seen a number of belt kits marketed under various brand names, most of which I don't recognize. Like a lot of aftermarket parts, I suspect there may only be a few manufactures still making these belts so a lot of these may be the same belt sold under different names.

Do any of you guys have preferences for the brand of the timing belt? So far I haven't seen any Motorcraft brand belts, probably not available anymore.

I've used whatever brand NAPA sells on more than one TC, no complaints here.

NAPA for me also. Be sure to replace the tensioner when you replace the belt.

I have used just about all of them and never had any problems. I am partial to the Gatorback though, for no reason other than brand recognition.

I prefer Goodyear and the Gates that are made in America. Made in America is usually my only criteria I look for and I have had good resultsSmile

I looked into this a while back. You can get the Gatorback belt and tensioner separate for less money at my Autozone.
