What is the best ball joint removal and press too that makes it simple and a one man job. I am looking for a tool that will allow me to do it with A arm still in the car.

I have this kit from Harbor Freight:

Using an Impact Wrench with it makes the job really fast. Plus it's good for the U-Joints, too.

No I lied... I have this one:

But I only got this one because it was only $10 more and I can use it on a wider range of vehicles.

That's the one I bought too. It worked ok but be prepared to apply some force, a long handled ratchet or breaker bar will help.

I've never tried it "manually". I've always used a pneumatic impact wrench. With the impact wrench I would guess the average time it has taken me to remove or install a ball joint is about 3 seconds.

Impact wrench? That would take all the fun (and busted knuckles) out of it!
