Baseline established ... kinda

It was great to finally get a TC to the dragstrip! I can't believe its taken 10 years and 2 TC's to do this. I have some goodies on (sig.) but settings are still stock, 15 psi boost and 39 psi FP. The exhaust only reaches to the front of the back seat and that's all that's left of the stock system. I don't know how much of a baseline the runs were because of the tremendous amount of wheelspin. Track was cold and I was an idiot who never lowered the tire pressure in the back tires. I keep them inflated to almost the max psi for mileage. I did get 3 runs in before the rain came - was the 4th pair for the next run.

run 1 - 16.12 @ 88.5 mph - sit n spin
run 2 - 16.26 @ 88.7 mph - almost stalled then spun
run 3 - 15.91 @ 89.2 mph - much better launch but still spun and chirped on each shift except into 4th. Yeah I shifted into 4th because I still have the IHI and could feel it drop off before 1,000 ft.

Wishing I got more runs in - but hey - under 16 at 15psi with the IHI and 35 psi in the tires! OH yeah I also did this with about 15 gals. in the tank if not more... I still have over 3/4 tank ...

I also got to meet Travis and Steve and see their cars.. After seeing their cars makes me almost embarrassed of how mine looks... I need to work on that next!

It's hard to tell what it's capable of when all you do is spin down the track like a John Force burnout. I know it was fun though. Good job.

Congrats on having a good time. I'd say you got some much better times in that car with practice and some adjustments

The track conditions weren't that great. I couldn't get the ET Streets to hook up and Travis even had problems on his MT drag radials.

Cold day, cold tires....everybodys cars kept on breaking...I was disapointed with how much down time this was the worse it has ever been.

It was also good to see Steve and meet Brian. Brians TC runs good for a stocker..Im hoping my new stocker runs that good...it does not now. Brians dad's 78 corvette ran well 13.5....

Though conditions weren't great it was a blast. This car took me the quickest I've ever been down the 1/4. Previously was in my dad's vette before he did anything to it - 15.93. Dad has done a lot to the vette. Dual 3" exhaust - stroker 383 motor - he had traction trouble too - he went 13.40 with less than 200 miles on the motor last year. Sunday he was just driving it out of the hole. He also had too much excitement on his last run - A 10 or 11 sec. Chevelle spit out his driveshaft and yokes and stuff at him at the top end. He said he jsut held on and flinched hoping none of the parts would find his car.

Drag racing is always fun for me...I had fun meeting you and your father. BUT, the breakdowns where getting kind of excessive.
