Well looks like I spelled BRAKES wrong again but anyway, I have an 87' and i've told u my problem but know one seems to no whats wrong with it, heck I don't even no whats wrong with her. But the back brakes wont let go all the way, and I canged the calipers, and everything else. I dont think its my e-brake cable sence the emergency brake works fine. Anyways, could it be the ABS control, cause there is one on ebay and im not sure whether to buy it or not.

Just because the E-brakes work dosen't mean the cables wil release all the way. These thing are notorious for bad cables. I've had mine replaced on both cars. On both cars it was a case of they didn't release. Since you have already replaced the calipers, that narrows it down.

Pete:

You had to replace the entire e-brake cables ? What exactly was wrong and where did you get the replacements ? I have a feeling that my e-brakes might not be releasing completely too ????

Personally, I think the e-brake cable design on the TC's is one of the worst engineered parts on the car ! The lever mechanisim under the driver's seat is real mickey mouse to me...!

Dan, My understanding is there are three cables. One in front that the foot pedal actuates, and two in back, right and left. I think it is the 2 in back that are the problem ususally. The ones I got are made by Raybestos and I got them through Budget Auto. The P/Ns are BC93634 and BC93638. I forget the exact price, but it was around $23.xx each. I think I put these P/Ns in th ePart Number forum awhile back

Now that it's been mentioned. What is that lever under the drivers seat actually supposed to do?

That thing that all the cables attach to under the driver seat is called an equalizer, and is supposed to equalize the tension between the 2 cables to the rear brakes so the park brake applies equally on each wheel. It also provides the adjustment via the nut / threaded rod on the one cable.

The rear cables are relatively easy to replace, but the front one that goes to the pedal is a royal PITA. My front cable was locked up, and to get it off, I had to remove the park brake pedal assy.... only 3 bolts to remove, but it took me 45 min laying on my back to get the 3 bolts out, and 30 mins to get it back together.
