i was reading over another topic and seen that some valve problems could have some similar symptoms. i just got a compression tester and was wondering what the compression should be on recently rebuilt engine? it is a marshell raman so i think it should be all good but you never kno.

150 psi and up would be excellent.

How many miles on the rebuild? Those numbers seem a little low to me. Did you have the throttle held wide open, stopping the fuel injection so as not to wash the cylinders and give false low readings?
It also allows the maximum air intake...
Engine warm?
'86 TC: Granatelli adjustible clutch kit, Energy Suspensions, they own me, New KYB's, NOS heater core in the back seat, Chuck Warren Motor Mounts, Wallbro 255, Kirban FPR, New aluminum dual core. The Goal...all I need is the TIME!!

the throttle was open and i didnt let the engine run long but it was warm. i probably havent drove the car over 500 miles. it was actually closer to 135psi

Did you ad a tablespoon or so of oil to each cylinder and run the test a second time to see if readings went up?

no i didnt try the the oil in the cyliders. i will next tho. i ahve swapped out a few small parts from a wrecked 86 and the smoke has slacked off a good bit. but i drove it down the road today and wen it hit 5psi of boost it would cut out. if i stay out of the boost it doesnt miss or cut out on me. it was like no matter wat gear or rpm's i was at it stalls at around 5 psi
