Sorry, I didn't give you the link I intended above.
Check this one. http://natomessageboard.com/ultimatebb.p...692#000001

Some of Asimov's links are dead, but I posted pictures of the device farther down in that thread.

You need the PVC end cap (white), the stepped hose (measure your inlet tube at the compressor or the TB opening diameter and get a hose with a big end to match. You will need the quick disconnect piece that gets mounted in the PVC end cap. You will need 2 hose clamps as shown

im haveing a similar problem. my idel isnt that bad but it smokes a good bit when ideling. when i am driving down the road it seems to be running fine. then when i push the clutch in and go to stop the rpm's drop off and and even has died on me a couple of times. another strange part about is sometime ill be driving in the boost a littel bit and it will start missing and doesnt wanna pull at all. then i turn the swaitch off for a couple of seconds and start it back up and it pulls fine. i havent checked the pressure on the vacume but i did change several hoses with no change. any ideas? thanks

the smoke is more blue not dark at all. the engine was recently swapped with a reman. i ran the codes and the TPS was out of adjustment i fixed that. it also said something about an air deverter selinoid. any idea wat that might be? the check engine light is not on and i have changed every sensor and part i could think of.

Our cars do not have an air diverter (i.e., TAD/TAB solenoids). What was the exact code? Many references list gereric EEV IV codes, and some of the codes have different meanings for the 2.3T.

i tryied to pull the codes and there wasnt any stored in the computers memory so i ran some of the test on my code reader. i beleive i was runnin the KOER test and the number was was 84 but i looked at the list of codes on the NATO web site and it isnt on there so i figured id wasnt the ecu codes.i have replaced the pvc valve. could it posibly be in the wiring somewhere? due to the fact it cuts out and doesnt wanna pull until the ignition is turned off and turned right back on

this may sound stupid but my car kept trying to die one day when I'd push in the clutch and then I remembered I didn't tighten one of the battery terminals. That fixed the problem.
