Lights are always on with Autolamp wheel on day or night and no delay regardless of wheel setting. I think its the sensor--how do you remove the center top trim panel to replace the sensor?

It's press fit in and held in place with little plastic latch thingies. It's a pretty tight press fit so be careful, try using a wide piece of metal to distribute the prying force over a large section of the dash to avoid cracking it. BTDT.
Even if the sensor is bad the delay should work, especially when turning the headlamps off. If it's not, I'd suspect the switch/module.

Is the (switch/module) one item or two and where is it/they located?

Am at work so without my EVTM, so "as I recall" the switch and module are one piece located at...
the switch! (Sorry couldn't resist)
If this turns out to be wrong please post and I'll look in the EVTM this weekend for you.
Good luck.

This sounds dumb, but I have to ask. Is the manual light switch turned on, or is it off? That preceeds the auto feature...

Manual Switch Off. Although it might be plausible to make a bonehead mistake like that I can proudly say I didn't. Thanks for asking though!

The manual switch in fact overrides the autolamp feature. If you forget and leave them on, you wind up with a dead battery!

That's what the headlight on chime is for!
