auto vs.5 speed computer question.....

Can I put a computer from a 5 speed TB into a auto TB car? And does it just plug in? Trying to gain more horse power....

The auto computers on the 87-88 control the 3 to 4 shift and I think, converter lockup. So an auto trans isn't going to work right with a 5 spd computer.

You can get more HP by adding a manual boost control valve but the auto trans probably won't handle it for long

Yes! And you WILL gain more horsepower also. I thought this car was a P.O.S. with the auto...
