Got the head on and everything hooked back up except the timing belt, tensioner & belts. While i had the car up, I went ahead and did the draining of the oil...only to find coolant to come out first, then the milky oil. What gives? no rust BTW. the water pump was off the car as well.
Also, I dont see where / how i can use a prybar to move the tensioner. If anyone has any info, i'd apperciate it!

Coolant can get into the oil when you take the head off. I put a wrench on the bolt head on the pulley of the tensioner and it works like a charm, i dont like the pry bars cause they can slip.

yeah, but it doesn't get milky. it only gets milky when it's been running with coolant in the oil.

i'm guessing that either a bad head gasket was allowing the coolant a pathway to the oil or there is a crack somewhere or possibly a warped head.

BTW....jarron, did you have the head looked at by a machine shop or someone qualified? it may have problems.....like a crack, warped deck and/or a host of other things. also, anti-freeze in the oil will hurt the bearings...

Is that why when the car "starts" it sounds like someone is rattling a can of small rocks? .....orrrr....maybe the crank wasnt at TDC on the compression stroke?

Yes, I took the head tyard ornament...o a machine shop. I also discovered a vicious leak coming from the cam spocketwhile tryin to start the car. I think I'll try to rotate crank 360*. Hopefully the block hasnt become a
