HI Imp320, Columbus is my hometown! I moved to the Atlanta area about 15 years ago. I live in Conyers which is on the East side.
There are car shows and Races in the Metro area from Spring to Fall. It would be nice to get some TC owners from this part of the country together at some of these events. If Yall are intrested I can keep you posted on the times and locations of the best events.
Let me hear from you.

I can still remember that day when me and my cousin went looking for me a new car. At the time I owned a 1977 Thunderbird, you know one of those that looked like a freakin boat. We stopped at a used car dealership in Enterprise, AL called "Southern Motors" to look around. I was eyeballing a Sunfire vert when my cousin said" Check out that Thunderbird" I approached the car, drawn by the great body lines and as the car dealer approached I asked, "Whats it got?"
The dealer replied"A 2.3L 4 cylinder!" I thought to myself, he's got to be kidding, why would I want a crappy 4 cylinder???
The dealer just smiled with confidence and said. "Just drive it." Well, after my cousin and I came back from the test drive I grinned at the dealer and said, "SOLD!"
They gave me $2,000 for the 1977 that I paid $600 from my dad and purchased the TC for $4,000 in 1991. This car has changed my life and has been apart of my life for a long long time. I have let her just sit in the yard neglected for too long now and decided, SHE WILL RULE THE ROADS AGAIN!!

DAMMIT I LOVE THIS CAR, now if I could just talk Turbochick into going on a ride with me [Image: biggrin.gif]

"Ladybird" !?!?!

You're talking Texan now, friend. At least for all of the LBJ-bird references around these parts here in Austin.

Not sure if we're still counted as Southerners, mainly just consider ourselves as from a whole 'nother country!

oh yes my friend, Texas is part of the south. it is a mainstay. the day they tell me Texas is not in the south is the day that i disown the south. like they said, American by birth, southern by the grace of God.

I lived in NC for 11 yrs and bought my daughter an 88TC, she drove the shit out of it till 99 then I retrieved it. Now its in a heated garage in the winters. And drive to NC in the summers to piss my kid off.But it's still a southern car! It just spends it's winters in Michigan.
