as the title says im looking for the 84to86 bigger turbo
(right?) with the water and oil cooled or where i can get one

I've never rebuilt a turbo either, but I wouldn't hesitate to get one that needed rebuilt if the price was right. Just take your time, take pictures, and ask questions.

Which turbo should i choose? what is too big of a turbo? im still not sure how to tell the differences in ar and how it affects the spool time and max boost

You're not going to be happy with a bigger turbo unless you have the capability to run bigger injectors, which, to be done properly, requires an aftermarket engine management system. If you just slap a T3/T4 on your bird your spool time will be slower and you're not really going to make any more power.

Rebuilding a T3 is pretty easy. I did a write-up on it a while back. If I were you I'd either rebuild yours or get a stock replacement unless you plan on some more serious mods in the future and, like me, don't want to buy twice.
