I grew up on 70's Kawasaki KZ650 and 900's aircooled inline 4 cylinder motorcycles. They offered plenty of performance at a time when American cars went from bad ass (1970-1972) into total dogs (1973-1981), due to the new tailpipe emissions laws and emphasis on fuel economy brought about by the 1973 Arab Oil Embargo. Thats when speed limits went from 70 to 55.... I also had the first generation 1984 Kawasaki ZX900 Ninja , and it was a "bit massaged"...that thing was fast. I have some video of it at Detroit Dragway back in the day..love two wheels just as much as 4....

I grew up on a motorcycle and have been riding for over 30 years, and I've owned more great bikes than I can count. I just now got back from a ride on my 02' HD Roadking. Bikes are my preferred way to travel as long as it isn't raining, and there's nothing in the world like driving a motorcycle. One of the pleasures in my life that I'd have a real hard time living without.

I've been riding since I was about 18 not counting mini bike riding before that. Currently ride an 08 Versys and 1972 CB350. Also on a GS850 that's torn down at the moment waiting for the Turbo Coupe to be finished.

I got my bike license and first bike as a sophmore in high school. 19 years later and 3 bikes later still at it. Dad felt his 2001 HD sportster was a little big for him with his health and age, so he trailered it to Texas and i ride it whenever i want. My bike is a 2004 CBR1000RR. The first bike i remember riding on was my dads 1969 Honda CB750. Its a basket case parked in our barn now, but i bought a running '73 for parts to fix 'the first superbike'. compared to my honda it doesnt seem too fast, but it supposedly would outrun the cars of its day. With my gear, ill ride down to about 30 degrees then it's too cold for me.
