Another Towing Question

I know I'm not *supposed* to tow anything behind my TC. But I'm curious what you all HAVE towed behind yours. Pete, what size boat and how long were you towing when you blew the valve apart? Others?

I ask, because I just scored a free 14' Lido sail boat. I love sailing. Dad has one, we've sailed it under the Golden Gate in 8' swells. Lake Washington is a great place to sail. The farthest drive would be 30 miles. Mostly 5 miles. It's a 300lb boat, when on the trailer 2 people can drag it up a small incline driveway. I should mention the car is an automatic, so I know what dangers lie on that.
It's free. And it's either the TC, My Escort (ha!) or a 4cly Camry (well...).

Lets justr say it was more than a 300 # boat.

If that's all it ways throw a hitch on the Escort.

That's just another two passengers, any car should be able to tow that just fine.

Yah but the TC would look soo much cooler towing the boat the the Escort!
Maybe take a nice picture at sun set make it look like an old Ford ad............

It IS an automatic. I might be able to fulfill both of your ideas! But yeah. I think the TC is it then. Escort brakes aren't that great, I've always thought they sucked from day one.
