I am a rookie turbocoupe owner. I have been a fan of the ford 2.3L turbo, mostly the mustang svo. Then I found a 87 turbocoupe for sale and took it for a spin. I was hooked. Only two major problems keeping it from being my daily driver, a faulty ignition switch (now replaced) and hard pedal poor braking. Thanks to the outstanding information from nato on the teves II abs I was able to diagnosis the problem as a faulty pws. I purchased one from ford-parts.com for $120. Autozone had a 36mm axle nut socket (loaner) that fits the pws, but the socket wall diameter is too thick to slip over the pws in the car. The abs motor is in the way. Any suggestions?

I did this repair about six months ago. The only way I could get the switch off was with a set of vice grips and lots of cursing.
Put the front end on jack stands and block the rear wheels. This will give you more room to work with. Remove the pws from underneath the vehicle. Always be carefull when working underneath your vehicle.

Good luck.
