I woudl liek to apologize for my attitude towards my a WONDERFUL T/C this past week.
I have finally calmed down. I got soem stress relief last night by goign to Wildwood New Jersey and walking on the beach and boardwalk with my loving g/f, which has been helping me though this.
But i have fianlyl got the car runnign half decent. All the leakes are fixed (oil and coolant)I just replaced the water pump as it was leakin out of the lil hole it has, but I am stil messing with the cam timing. i been advance and retarding and gettin closer each time, slowly but surly this car is regaining it's strenth and showing me what it can do when i finally understand it.
Well im off to get this thing to acclerate half decent, czu i gettin 15psi of boost and moving slow, so i still going to try this, im close oo so close.
Are there any other thing i shoudl check to see what would be wrong?
O yea, would a worn camshaft cause this car to acclerate slowly? it worn but not real bad, maybe 2mm worn off. or is that bad?
ahh thsi car, the looks i get with no exhuast!

I have two cams, wel heads, with cams in it i can use, just that oen head has indents int he one combustion area, and the other has a rust mark form a coolant passage to the combustion chamber so it leaks coolant right into the cylinder.
Now the car runs ok, stil have my coolant and oil leaks, grr, and they are bad, literally drippign as it runs, so i gotta fix them. But other wise its ok, and that i cant boost all the way up (intercooler hoses are slipping off)
How har dis it to taek the cams out of the head? I know i need soem tool, but i would lie to do it after carlisel if i make it up there with the car

If you are not using the inter cooler bracket, the I/C hoses are going to continue to pop off. Tale some carb cleaner or lighter fluid and get all the oil off the inside of the hoses where the fit over something and the same with the parts they fit over.
Hard to say on the camshaft. if it's not real bad it shouldn't affect performance that much. Have you got the cam timed yet?

you have to jack up the front of the engine somwhere between 1/2 and 1" so the cam will clear the radiator support when removing and installing
