Aluminum Driveshaft?

Someone told me the Aerostar Aluminum driveshaft would fit a Turbo Coupe. I went to pullapart yesterday and all of the driveshafts were too long. Has anyone else heard they would work?

A local welder near me said he shortens/balances them for 40 bux. Look for a small welding shop. The bigger the shop the bigger the price. Other shops around here wanted over 100 bux and that didnt include balancing.

If you find the right one, it will fit.I found one at 47 3/8 center to center.Cant remember what aerostar it was.I think its a short van.The extended vans are 55"
