That wire goes to the S terminal of the regulator and is wrapped around the light green/red and yellow/white wires in the harness. Has to do with the way the car is wired for the amp meter. On cars with an idiot light it is connected to the S terminal of the alternator.

could that wire not being hooked up make my car stall after running for about 3 seconds...the cars altenator fried about a year ago and the guy i bought it from just let it sit....i just changed the altenator and the oil and tried starting her up...she started rite up and ran fine for about 8 seconds but then quickly stalled with no sputter...then i tryed about 6 more times and everytime she would start rite up but then just stall after 3 seconds.

No. Its not supposed to be hooked up. The fact that the alternator fried could mean damage to the wiring harness and having sat for a year could be bad gas, corroded connectors or many other things such as ignition switch problems, etc. In answer your question posted in other topics, the regulator is in the alternator and that is what the connector with the w/b wire is plugged in to.

Also check to make sure your Intercooler hoses aren't split or damaged and are sealed tight.

yeh the rubber hose from the intercooler to the turbo was kindof folded and i thought that was the reason my car was stalling..but i fixed it,replaced the old gas with new,i put a new fuel filter in and cleaned the spark plugs..but still she's acting up...i finally had her running without the VAM pluged in but she wouldnt go anywhere over 2500 RPM's then the second time around the block she got stuck at 2500 RPM's and would move no matter what i did...could it be the VAM.
