As many of you know I have had issues with the car since the powerstroke intercooler and big t3/t4 install. I worked out all the bugs last fall but never drove the car with boost control till this week. Imagine how hard it is to drive the car and not be able to get into boost because the boost isn't limited. The car runs too rich from the big injectors so I can only imagine how much better the car will run when the SDS goes on later this spring. Today I watched the tach after I jumped on the gas in first gear to see what kind of response I get. The tach hits 2000 then 2500 and no boost. Starts creeping past 2800 and it finally starts to build boost. Tach hits 3000rpms with about 3psi and then just explodes to 18psi. The car loses all traction and spun so bad it almost seemed to slow down a little. All I can say is once boost hits it is very violent. I go from no boost to max boost from 2800 to 3000rpms. Now I just need the SDS, Engle 111 cam and the 73pph injectors. Hopefully I will have it done by Carlisle.
