I have been looking for one of those black air valance things that go under the front bumper cover of the car and am having a hard time finding one. I don't see many around are they a dealer option or aftermarket? Well today i was close to pick n pull and had some time to kill so i thought i make my rounds. I spotted a 88 5.0L t-bird that had a valance on it, first one i've seen that is up for grabs. I didn't even have a screw driver to take it off and i'm not sure if i should go back and get it tomorrow because my car is in storage so i can't tell if it will fit my turbo coupe. Someone please tell me it will fit my car without modification.

I think my 88 T/C has one on there that wrapped around the lower bumper. I'll check tonight and take pics if so.

They are standard equipment on all Tbirds of that era. Without one you run a risk of overheating at highway speeds. The one in the JY should fit your TC.
Here is what a TC valance looks like:

Anything will fit anything its just a matter of using some ingenuity and time but as for that should almost be a perfect fit might have to drill a hole and bolt it but all in all should be a simple install and as turbot79 said you can even use the newer mach 1 style valance you have to modify it a lil bit by cutting it down but not a whole lot of work.

Vinnietbird, that looks great. Did you make it yourself? I would think that would pick up more air and contribute a little to high speed handling.
