R12 Capacity is 40 Ounces +-2oz.

Oil type is ESA-M2C31-A - 500 Viscosity
Oil Capacity is 8 Fl. Ounces

This is assuming it is the same system as the '86 as that is the book that the info is coming from.

Hope this helps...

Mine took a little over 3 cans (12oz) when I changed it over to R134a.
