Ok got the gray car converted to 5spd, painted, cleaned and brakes almsot fixed.
now i wanan re-turbo it. so i want to drop ina turbo motor long block and turbo.

thign is i have a dark blue TC with soem frotn engien damge that would be the perfect donor.
i wanted to fix it and dirve it agian this year but.... i ahev so many htings to fix on that car ot make it even witht eh ca rim driving.
the blue one needs a complete fornt suspension, tranny rebuild(syncros shot), interior is so worn and faded to gren istaed of blue. but tis my baby, my firts real car, lost of memories, tons of them. its the orignal turbo.

i can hodl of that car and take the motor and trubo assbly out and drop it in my gray car and be set, i just need ot get the fornt end fix so i have a good alignment and no more brake pull.
the gray car is alsmot perfect, even tho it has 232,000miles on it. its very clean and now nice, i lov eit tis wuiet to rid ein and has al the optiions, unliek the blue one.

I know tony has been excited about me gettign my blue oen back ont eh road, but what if i can make the grya oen its tempary replacemnt?
i just dunno what to do.
takign the motor out of the bleu ca ris just a tiem thing.
if i dotn i have to buy a mootr and turbo assmbly.
i miss hearign a turbo its been over a year sinc ei dorve my own!!!!!!!!!!!!

orry, im very emtional about my turbos!

I personally would pull the drive train from the blue one and install in the gray. This way you have a TC to drive.

Meanwhile, you could start making the repairs on the blue car while getting a new engine rebuilt.

Once the new engine/turbo combo is done, you could pull either put the new engine in the blue car or install it in the gray and put the original back in the blue.

Are you as confused as I am? [Image: smile.gif]

Use the stuff from the blue car and turbo that beast already. You can always get another engine when the blue car is ready for it.
NO TC and NO headaches.

Brian,
In my opinion, and past experiences, if you pull the motor out of the blue one and drop it into the gray one and get the gray car running and driving right, the blue one will just sit, because you have a perfect car to drive, and the ambition to fix the blue one will not exsist. You will be having too much fun driving around and having a good time in the gray car, plus you have now rendered the blue one im-mobile, because of the lack of engine, just fix the blue one.
You have vo-tech, and you used to work in a body shop so you have acsess to a frame machine right? Hell, one of my friends here wailed a deer in his T/C and pulled his frame out with the lift at the gas station where he works part time, a body guy from town came out and did some measurements and said it was mint. Just my 2 cents.
And Please Type Slower! Just kidding, no I'm not, lol. Good luck on your decision, and hope to see you and one of the birds at Carlisle.

I discussed this with ym dad last ngiht, if we do this i HAVE TO to ptu the n/a motor back in the blue car ot keep it mobil (i live at his house still, yea im a worthless kid, j/k) so that covered.
i have the conenction tot that car reaosn i dotn wanna get rid of it.
i always wanted to mini tub it and get a one piece fiberglass fropnt end, doors and trunk lid, and drop in a 460, and have funw ith it at the track. bt hey igoal in life may never reach, but il egt close.
what ever desition i make i hope it doesnt affec teither car.

about the frame machine.
blue car needs the front end pulled and then i have to repalce all the forn suspension part,s they been amkign niose since i got the car, so that more money there. and the trans is shot.
the gray car i can pull in school ot have tangy's do it for me. thats no sweat. the blue car is as i have to trailer it 40miles one way to school to use the rack. and im borrowing a trailer that isnt fun to trialer with above mph, and that trialering the car one night each week and havign the ca roff the triler at night, and i dotn get hoem till 10:30-11pm, so i dunn about that.
ugh i dunno what to do!

The 460 sounds like fun too. With a turbo of course. Swaps like that can be $$$$$ though.

Brian... Come take the motor sitting in my garage. I have a ton of parts in the basement & the spare car in the back to get her running right. We can work out the details later as I need some help with the blue car.
