Has anyone ever ripped-out the factory wiring harness, and replaced it with an aftermarket street rod wiring harness? I'm o.k. with simplifying/ doing without some of the factory options, and even using aftermarket gauges if needed. I've seen engine wiring harnesses for sale with the aftermarket engine computers. But, the only other wiring harnesses that I've found (other than used ones on eBay that could be suspect) are the aftermarket street rod harnesses. I haven't found anyone making the vehicle wiring harness for Turbo Coupes. I'm interested in building a dependable daily driver, and don't want to deal with the Turbo Coupe electrical gremlins.

Using a generic street rod harness would only be slightly less trouble than building your own harness, IMO. No one makes a new TC body harness. As you noted, you can buy engine harnesses that go with some aftermarket PCMs.
