iam going to purchase the stock springs and want to cut them to lower the car at least an 1 1/2inch in the front how much do i cut in the back to make the car leveled i purchased a pair of camber plates to compensate for any steering problems my question is how many rings do i cut and will they be more stiff or will they be bouncy i have changed the front and rear shocks and the car still seems to have old shocks i hit a pot hole and the car bottoms out thanks for any inoput
(nato member) comletely rebuilt suspension with additon of caster camber plates lowered with mustang springs painted candy royal blue next up is increase of horse power by any means possable, (second place is just the first loser)

Springs control the behavior of the car going down. Sturts and shocks control going up (rebound). If it's bottoming out, that's springs, not shocks. I don't know how much to cut the springs, but if you do, it will probably bottom out easier than if the springs were full length.

Don't cut your stock springs. Trust me, the car will ride so bad you'll wish you hadn't wasted all the time in the first place. If you want a 1 1/2" drop for next to no money (sounds like your M.O.) get stock 4 cylinder Mustang springs, I posted pics on your other thread.

My post is the last one in the thread "PSI XS" and shows my white TC with 4 cyl. springs and stock springs. Any '87-93 4 cylinder Mustang springs should work, I just pulled mine from a junkyard but they area available new at lots of parts stores cheap.

I had ST springs in for a while but they were too harsh for my old body so I cut my front stock springs 1 wrung only and it dropped about 1.5".
Ride is just like stock.
The back I didn't want to do because of the way the coils sit in place but my sub box brings it level anyway.
I used a thin zip wheel and do it quik and clean 1/4" wrung at a time. No heat!
I adjusted the camber in front as the wheels go neg when you lower.
