Aftermarket radio problems

Long story short I got a killer deal on my new tc! But the radio was completly destroyed, harnesses were cut and such. It is an 88 with eq, now when I hook up the wires per misc diagrams I found there is nothing! Do the wires from the eq effect the radio power? I can't even get it topower on, can someone give me a color to wire function list or diagram, so far I've searched and nothing... Thanks soooo much!

Keep in mind that with EQ the amp is bolted to the back seat frame in the trunk. So there's 4 channel pre amp out to the amp (maybe only one grnd to the amp) and the speakers are driven with wiring back to the speakers. At least in my '86 there were plugs for direct to the speakers (for a head with amp out to speakers) and a plug for the EQ amplifier, even though I did not have EQ.
Since your car has EQ, there might/should be another plug (gray???) that's also a radio plug that has wiring direct to the speakers. If you find that, use it to wire in the new radio and unplug the two plugs in the amp on the back of the car.
