are the ebay stainless steel headers any good... theyre only 200 bucks and i can reinforce the welds.
1988 Turbo Coupe 5 speed Red with Red cloth interior, K&N cone filter, Ported IHI turbo, ATR Header ported, Manual Boost Controller at 18 psi.

2013 Focus ST 2.0 Turbo, Buschur green filter, OCD Speed axle back exhaust.

No, they are garbage. They don't use the proper filler wire for the welds, which causes them to crack after a few heat cycles and some spirited driving. The piping is a thinner gauge as well.


Get a stinger header instead and save yourself the trouble.
88 TC, FMIC, GT35-1 .70 A/R, 42lb Injectors, MS2 p&p, Custom upper manifold, junk heap Stinger header, 3 inch exhaust, Accufab FPR, Bo-Port 1.9 cam, Oversized valves, ported head, Stage 3 clutch, 22psi.

i was wondering... i read the feed back and he only has a few negative and that was because of wrong parts... and they say its guaranteed.

Save a tad more and get a bob's log. Itll never crack and performs awesome!
1987 TC 5 speed. To date: AGP 50 trim T3/T4 .63 stage 2 turbo, Ebay bov, 28psi, 255hp pump, Kirban FPR, Ebay Front mount, Full 3 inch Exhaust, Ported Bob's Log, Megasquirt, 55lb. injectors, boport 1.5 cam, boxed lower control arms, Methanol Kit, Ram HD Clutch, front lowered 1/2 inch and E.T. Streets for the track. Best so far 12.5 at 110.8. still tuning.

well it aint exactly a want its a need... my stock e6 has a hole in it and my neighbor has been takin me to work the last few days and im completely broke

I would post in the wanted section for a E6 manifold. That is the stock manifold/header used from 1985.5 to 1988 should be able to find one cheap.

Any pictures to back that claim up? What year did you buy them? I know Bob's redesigned them at least once.
88TC 5speed, 160,000+, ranger roller, Evergreen T3, cone filter, manual boost controller.
One parts car still waiting to be taken apart.
Waiting in the garage: SC throttle body, SC intercooler, graphic equalizer, among other things.

The original Bobs "small log" had a few problems with cracking, but AFAIK, the third generation "big log" doesnt crack.

Let me re-phrase that. A bob's log will not crack as fast as anything else tubular by far. I run mine without the brace and no cracks! From what I read everywhere I see people complaining about how their tubular header cracks all the time and needs to be re-welded ALL THE TIME! If it were me, I'd get a little spot weld on your e6 to hold you over so you can save up for a Bob's log.
