Whats's the best procedure for removing the center bearing in the 87-88 AC Compressor Pulley? It looks like it has three tabs on the backside holding it in.
Thanks,

There are some pictures I took of disassembling the clutch last year in the tech articles with descriptions of how to do it.

That's the article that I downloaded to help me get the thing apart but it doesn't say how to get the bearing out of the pulley. Picture number 5 shows the pulley with the bearing still in it. There are three fold over tabs on the backside of the pulley that fold over the bearing but I don't know if they hold the bearing in or not.

Gary, I dont know for sure, but I would guess that the bearing is an interference fit, and needs to be pressed out, and a new one pressed in. I would guess that those tabs are just a "fail safe" to retain the bearing if it somehow looses the interference fit.

Am I correct that all the A/C parts are going to be chromed?

Well, after surveying the unit in the car, I have changed my mind on a few items. Seems the pulley doesn't show that much so it would be useless to have that chromed so I am just going to have the front clutch unit done and the ac bracket. That should do the trick. That way I don't have to mess with that pulley nut and trying to get it off in one piece.
