I searched and could not find any info on this. Maybe this will help someone else out if they need it. I had to remove one of my tone rings due to it being displaced when I got rotors cut, which made me lose my abs and make my light come on after going more than 10 mph, due to too big of a gap between the ring and the sensor. This is how I did it. I put the rotor on the bench and put a lug nut on each stud just far enough to protect the stud from getting beat up. Then hammer the studs out like you are replacing them. They will come into contact with the tone ring and you can tap them in a criss cross pattern to drive the ring off of the rotor without damaging it. Now reinstall the studs, Then to replace the ring just tap it back on gently to where it needs to be.
