My son turned 16 back in December and wants to build a project car. He hates import ricers and wanted to build something different. Being that I'm a large fan of the TC and have owned 4 over the last 23 years, I convinced him to consider a TC. Well, a friend of mine has decided to sell his 88 5 speed, so we snapped it up. It's a loaded, mostly stock, dark blue car with about 120,000 miles on it. WE're going to keep it mostly stock, doing a light restoration. My son wants to paint it Kona Blue, keeping the gloss black molding with the res stripe. My hope is that he'll keep this car for a while and show other young people the beauty of having an old car, and how cool these cars are.

there a great car for a young kid, comfortable, good driving, and just enough power for fun when stuff, and not gonna get your butt in trouble like a built 5.0.

My sons first car was also a 88 Turbo Coupe. He's going to be 19 this year and still has it. We love working on it and taking it to the strip. He has a 2000 Bonniville SSEi for a DD. http://natomessageboard.com/uploads/0000...4936_n.jpg

My son wanted a TC, that is until he has been around the SE TurboFord gang. Now he says Pinto.
He still may get my DD as his DD. I decided he can have a Pinto as a track only car.
