Hello, I haven't checked in for a while. Looks like there's still a little traffic here which is nice to see.
My wife and I just drove home in an '09 Volkswagen Tiguan (2.0T). Her, previous car, an '04 Jaguar S-type 3.0L got rear-ended on 2/1. Some bumper damage, and some scrapes on the trunk and quarter panel provided us with a totaled car. She enjoyed the jag, but decided she wanted to go back to an SUV. She really liked the looks of the Dodge Nitro's, and we drove a few, but we stumbled onto this Volkswagen and I was very impressed on the test drive. She loved the panoramic sunroof and the AWD so we made a deal and got it into our price range.
It's a long way from my old TC, but hopefully it will give us a few good years of service.
On a side note, there's an '88 TC for sale locally. It was on the marked a few years ago. It was in pretty good condition then, but I don't think it's been getting driven, and it's been sitting outside since then so I'm not sure how much it has deteriorated.
Black 5 spd, 133k. Asking 3900.
Only problems noted are window off track, radio and e-brake cable. If anyone's interested I'd be willing to give it a closer look.
