I have the manual a/c controller. Well when I switch from max to norm, to vent, to heat, to feet, to mix, and to defraust its not very much different at all. Max and norm are acutally the same. And it does not blow very hard at all. i was wondering what could cause this?

Could you be qa bit more detailed, like what do you mean "max and norm are actually the same"? Does the blower motor speed up as you go from low to high with the fan switch? Does air come out the floor vents on heat?, panel on vent, norm, max? defrost vents in defrost?, floor and defrost vents on mix? As you may know, the only difference between norm A/C and max A/C is where the inlet air comes from. Ususally blower sounds louder in max since air is recirculated from inside the car.

Ok my Dad and I were looking at it and it seems that when my dad pulls on the rod from the vacuum motor around the top of the air box it helps fix the problem. And the problem is that it doesnt direct the air properly.

You will need to check for source vacuum at the vac switching block. If vac is present, check block for leaks and look for cracked vac lines to the 2 vac motors. Check vac motors for blown / leaking diaphrams.
