I dont know about your tc, but my brother smoked a formula of the same year, i think it was a manual in his stock 94 mustang gt 5 sp, so if you can smoke a stock 94 or 95 sp stang you may have a chance! Also if your friend knows how to launch the car with our goin up in smoke would help too!
88 tc 5sp, Gillis, K&N on vam, Redneck cat back exaust (nothing from the cat back) 220,000 mile short block. Rebuilt 86 head and cam.

I am going to say no. the fire chicken probably has 260 + HP. the TC has around 190 but thats an 87/88 the older cars might be different. weight wise I think your both about the same TC might be heavier. There is only one way to find out though.

And for the forum police... The is a compelte guess I am in no way saying this as true facts. think of it as an educated guess. so take it as you may

OK here's what you do:
1. make a secret trip to the hardware store
2. purchase 1 lb. of carpet tacks or 1" drywall screws see #6
3. if #2 cannot be purchased/found see #4
4. borrow/buy a large knife see #5
5. slash his tires
6. next time you see him tell him you wanna race as you pull up to the start line dump the tacks/screws into his lane

*these tactics are at your own risk and should not be concidered kind or morally right by any means and I take no responcibility or liability for and actions or concequences in the afore mentioned*

So basically good driver vs good driver he will beat you. If he spins the hell outta his skins off the start you have a much better chance, and being you said he just got the car this is the way I see it(burnout city).

that firebird is rated at 285 Hp and 325 torque. I cant find anything on weight. Do you have any modifications to your car?

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Have Indian driver disconnect--any four--of his spark plugs, place bet, go for it.
