88 Turbo - Is it worth it?

I recently found a classic car dealer online that has an 88 Turbo T-Bird for $1200.

It's a definite project car. Theres a bit of rust, the interior needs help, and at the very least the front transmission seal needs to be replaced (not sure what that costs to repair).

I've attached some pics. Does this sound like a fair deal? This would be my first project car so I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

Thanks for any advice!

I've seen much better ones in that price range. Your looking at a lot of body work there.

Welcome to the board.

Remember the first rule of running - DON"T look back!.

There are much better deals out there for the same or less money

Too much rust. Check the lower strut towers, they are probably gone.
