i recently gave my 88 tc a tune up plugs wires etc but now the car seems to be eratically jerking at no particular speed or time any ideas on what this could be timing is correct

Double, triple, and quadruple check your routing of the plug wires.
If it's more of an occasional buck / jerk while you're driving (and assuming the car is drivable at all), it could just be a vacuum / boost leak around the intercooler hoses.

Did you put the SPOUT plug back in? It will jerk and run like crap without the plug in.

Make sure the IC is properly seated in the IC hoses. Maybe one is slipping. It's tuff to get everything "right on" with the lower hose.
