BTW, what brand of wires and plugs did you use?? Anything other than Motorcraft wires are known to cause problems. Autolite Platinum plugs are also recommended.

Pete D. can probably recite the part/plug numbers from memory.....

Just for the heck of it, put the old wires back on and see if the problem still exists (namely the coil-to-distributor wire). That will rule out the wires (providing the issue did not present itself before the tuneup).

Just a thought for ruling out suspects.....

i figured it out actually you guys figured it out it was a bad set of wires replaced coil wire ran like a new bird only 99 more projects to go on it Thanks for all the help still going tomm to get it scoped just to see if it throws any codes

The Bosch wires have been tried and tried again only to be found out later to be at fault for a miss. Motorcraft wires are the way to go every time. The right kind of spark plug is the Autolite copper 764 (you can get it at Wal Mart), the platinums don't work better, they just cost more.

Glad we were able to help. For some reason it almost always seems the miss occurs in the coil-to-distibutor wire when other than Motorcraft wires are used.
