88 TC question

I've never looked over the engine compartment of an 88 TC until today when I found one in the local pick n pull. I noticed what looks to be a barometric pressure sensor behind the IRCM. But the inlet was hooked up to the vacuum tree like it was a MAP sensor.
I couldn't find another BAP anywhere in the compartment. Does the 88 use a MAP sensor. I don't ever remember reading that discussed.
This car is an auto and had interesting wiring jury rigged to a couple of switches in the drivers compartment. Could the BAP sensor been hooked up wrong the PO?

There should NOT have been a hose connected to the port. It won't run right. I wonder if that is why it's in the JY? 87-88 use a BP, in the location you stated. There is no other map/bp under the hood.

Well, I thought that might be the case. This car had some rather "interesting" wiring added and a couple extra switches creatively added to the drivers compartment. I wondered then if the previous owner had any idea what he was doing. Doesn't sound like it. But the car has been wrecked, left front quarter done in pretty good, plus some other body damage elsewhere.
