I just picked up this 88 TC 5 speed over the weekend, So far I cleaned it up and to see what i'm getting myself into. I bought it for $800 it runs and drives and all the options work.

It does need the front strut towers done, as well as the bottoms of the doors and the bottom rear of the quarter panels, other than that it's pretty solid, I need to source a left fender, if anyone has one?

has anyone used the Scott Rod strut tower kit for these cars? Are they the same as the mustang?

Welcome to NATO!

Not sure if the Scott Rod will work on the TC but you can call those guys at Scott Rod. They are very helpful on the phone when I did buy some panels.

Try https://www.car-part.com/ for the local junkyards around us on the fender.
