I highly doubt it; to control the air, temperature, and all the other stuff, you need electric actuators on the AC/heater box and the manual 86 won't have them.

*BUT* this is just a guess. Also the proper AC/heater box could probably be retrofitted but it'd be a PITA I'm sure.

The plenum / ducting for the EATC is 100% different than the plenum with manual controls. As Joe said, all the activators in the EATC are position sensing electric motors, unlike the manual system that has vacuum activators and manual movement of the blend door. There are also several temp sensors that would need to be installed (in car, ambient). I dint think EATC systems from this era used a sun load sensor.

If you had EVERYTHING, could you do it? Yes. Would it make changing a heater core seem like childs play? Yes.

I changed the EATC system over in mine to manual. It is completely, totally absolutely different. The heater boxes don't even look similar. It took a bit of wiring too, but I enjoy that stuff. I would say after having the issues with the EATC system and going to manual, stay with manual, so much easier.
Currently birdless, but will get another someday!

Agreed..... the EATC systems from the TC era were not the most reliable. Manual systems rarely have problems.
