I know I said everything is stock except the trans but I forgot about the K&N filter. I am getting the stock air box with it as well.

I would stick with the K&N.
That is a great looking car! Congrats

Link didn't work for some reason? TurboCoupe50 which automatic fittings? I converted to from auto to T5 and could boost higher than 12psi. I used what the kit included, don't specifically remember what I did or removed in the process aside from the BCS that I left electrically plugged in but unhooked from the vacuum/boost lines. I would start with it set to 15psi, which will allow 15psi in all gears and as early in the rpm range as it can spool up to 15psi. Then increase it to what some of the guys running IHI's recommend on here. The IHI is the oringal turbo, the one you have.

The size of the nipple orifice on one side of the fitting that the bcs hose is connected to at the turbo (or ic - don't know exactly where it is on the later one's) is smaller on the auto's. It won't actually make any difference though since one of the nipples is capped of and the mbc is used inline on the wastegate reference line, typically, so boosting above 12 psi will not be an issue at all.

The 2 port fitting on the compressor outlet gets removed as part of the Gillis install and the hole gets plugged; http://www.turbotbird.com/techinfo/Gilli...sValve.htm See the second step "2"

pete, whats the reason that the port on the compressor housing is plugged instead of taking boost pressure straight from there?

It like Turbocoupe50 said, the orifice size in one side of the stock fitting sets an upper limit for boost. Even though it is a higher value on the manual trans it is still limited and a lot of people want to run more. If an after market boost valve in installed, then it is the after market valve that you want to control max boost. So the 2 port fitting gets removed.

i understand that, but why not pull the stock fitting and put in a hose barb back in the same place?

The gillis instructions state to take your reference from the vac tree. That said - lots of people run it from the compressor housing, too. I don't think it really makes much of a difference.
