My body moulding on the drivers side rear quarter panel by the wheel(the portion with the red pinstripe) is peeling back a bit. What should I use to re-attach to my body panel securely and robustely?

Use a drywall screw. Just kiddin.Take the moulding off, clean all the old shit off it,then put it under your mattress or whatever to get it flat again.Go to auto supply store and get 3M brand double sided tape.Clean it up real good, put the tape on,stick'er on.Do it on a warm day. It'll hold.

The thing is, only about4 inches or so is "pulled back", hanging off the rear quarter.
Should I pull the rest of it off? Or just clean up this 4 inches or so, then put on the 3m double sided tape? I'd hate to pulll it all off if I don't have to.

Not funny. I have an 87 bird in my yard right now with some of that trim being held on with drywall screws. Bought it that way. What the heck are some people thinkin'?

The '67 Ranchero I sold my dad still has sheet metal screws through all the chrome on the side panels. The previous owner had a body shop paint the car. They broke or ruined the mounting brackets upon removal. Instead of telling him or trying to order new mounts they drilled holes and used screws. Last time we checked the chrome was $1800 to replace. I don't know why they didn't go after the shop.
