Hello everyone,

I am in the process of getting all new glass (windshield and rear window) and new tinting (side windows) for my 1987 Turbo Coupe. The problem is, I am told by the installer that the rear glass is no longer available.

He and I agree—we would much prefer replacing the rear glass with new rather than used. The tinting has developed many bubbles, so seeing accurately out of it is difficult, and there is the issue of the rear window defogger ribbon.

Does anyone know if and where the rear window glass can be found?

Thanks,
Forrest

1987 Turbo Coupe w/T5OD, 8.8 axle, grey smoke; most options. Got it in 1991 with 41K miles: 3 turbos, 2 heater cores, 3 T5OD full rebuilds, 6 clutches, 1 head gasket, 2 Teves II ABS units, etc. later....

Well, I have three parts cars with good rear windows sitting here in Virginia.   Smile  Logistics could be a little tricky.

There is a parts car in a salvage yard in relatively-nearby Tucson that also has one. I’d prefer new, if possible. But thanks for the offer.
