87 TC rear end swap

I have a bunch of questions actually. Are the rear ends in an 89 mustang and an 87 TC the same width? or is the 87 TC rear wider, and if so by how much? I also heard that the axles from a 85-86 Lincoln Towncar would work in the T-bird rear to change to a 5 lug bolt pattern, along with the front rotors. Is the computer in my 86 TC a likely candidate for a 2.3 turbo swap or would I be better off picking upone out of an 88 TC?

The TC is wider but what you do is cut off the disc brake brackets and buy or make some inboard ones, use the Mustang axles and you are sized right.
The LA series computers are better as they use an ACT sensor, but the 86 EEC is possible.
