Hey all,
I'm trying to get a ready for Carlisle and am trying to change all the brake hoses on the 3 cars. Where has anyone gotten the center rear end hose for the 87-88 birds with the disc brakes? I tried thru work,OBSOLETE! Auto zone, and advanced auto, they all came up wrong.
Yes, I did try the search button. Please help,I have one week to go!

Thanx for any help, I should be in Pa. about this time next week, yippie!

Quickest: Take the old one off, take it to a local shop that makes braided brake line, have it made. Even with having to bleed the brakes you should be done in four or five hours tops. Don't forget the new copper crush washers.

My 2¢.

Edit: And if you want it to be DOT approved make sure the place makes 'em that way.

1986 TC, 132k pretty well taken care of miles. k&n, gillis@16, timing @ 12 (spout out), A/C delete. 3" Downpipe (no other exhaust... Whoever described that sound as a "pissed off tractor" hit the nail on the head)

I measured a Mustang one to be about 5" too short. And that was for an SVO, I don't even know if the rear drum lines are the same. Alot of companies already have DOT SS hoses for Stangs, have them make one 6" longer, but it would take longer than a week! I'd go with the local hydraulic shop idea, but be careful, it has to have a DOT approved tag on it or else you might be subject to some stiff penalties. Up here in WA, it's a $395 ticket for non-DOT compliant brake parts! More importantly, keep it safe for your own life, having no brakes sucks!
