A bad turbo can cause smoking. Tell us more about the what, when and where.

I have no idea what kind of injectors you have. They are probably not what the car should have.

I am prety sure blue tops are 36 #/hr high impedance injectors. While I have heard of people running them with a low impedance driver 2.3T EEC, I would not recommend it.

When I replaced my injectors about a year ago, Ford parts gave me some light blue top units. When I complained that they were wrong, the parts manager did a bunch of research and made several phone calls while I was standing there. He stood by his original claim that they were correct, just from a different manufacturer hence the different color.

When I got home I measured the resistance of the units and they are indeed right at about two ohms; and FWIW, the TC seems to run just fine. I could not discern any difference before and after the change - except, of course, that the fuel leaks were gone! [Image: biggrin.gif]

Thanks for the info, Joe.... neverheard of light blue top inj. The Mustang 36 lb high imp inj are dark blue top.

Lloyd.... check the resistance of one of the injectors. The correct ones should be about 2 ohms, as Joe stated. If they are about 12 to 14 ohms, they are high impedance inj.
