Which car are you parting out? YOu didn't say. Anyway, The turbo is bigger on the 85, it's a T3. The one on the 88 is the smaller IHI. Also the, 85 doesn't have an intercooler, duh...Engine is the same, maybe a little different cam specs, and different computer, but the hard metal of the engine is the same.

See the article on swapping turbos in the FAQS. Why part it out or cursh it, is in bad shape?

Please don't part it out if the car is in good shape. There are not many TC's left out there. Re-consider selling it. Give us a description of the car.

i heard the 87-88 cranks are heavier then the 86 and later ford supposedly beefed them up a bit to compansate for the near 195HP

It is not in bad shape but i cant have it here for very long and i need the engine out of it anyways and numerous other parts for my 88. sooo i am just going to give you guys what you need instead of wasteing the rest of it [Image: smile.gif]and yes i know that these bird are endangered. it breaks my heart too but it also makes what it left more special. We should be thankful that we are fortunate (or unfourtunate) ehought to still be driving these. i lost my first one i sold it and i missed it untill i got my next one wich i am never going to sell.
