Short of professional services, does anyone have a procedure for refinishing the stock factory aluminum TC wheels to OEM condition?

A guy who sold me my set showed me what he did with his others. he made templates of the area he wanted to sand and paint... then jacked up the car and let the wheel spin slowly and he just put a piece of sandpaper up to it. it sanded itself down then he just applied "wheel paint" to it. Looks real good. And it kept the shiny parts shiny and made the gray parts gray again... On the one he pressed too hard and you could see minute grooves where the sandpaper ate away too much too fast but overall they look good. I'm going to do mine the same way.
