84 TC TFI Wire Colors?

I'm still trying to figure out my miss. I noticed that all the wires going to the TFI are all chewed up and someone has tried to fix it, with all different colors of wire. I've got a Chilton book, I printed out the AllData and Mitchell wiring diagrams at the library, and copied the wiring diagrams from the Ford service book, also at the library. None of the colors in any of the books match each other, let alone my car. This is getting very frustrating, and seriously, I'm wondering if it's even worth dealing with this car at this point. Does anyone know exactly what color wires go to the TFI on an 84? Thanks.

This is information I found in the 1984 Ford service manuals. D after wire color means dot, H means hash as printed on the wire. Looking at the TFI module connector with the connector lock tab on top with the six terminals are numbered from right to left.

PIP DG
SPOUT Y/LG D
IDM DG/Y D
IGN GRD BK/LG D
IGN START R/LB H
IGN RUN W/LB H

Please note that the service manual and the electrical manual differ as to connector pin numbers and wire placement in the connector. The first four wires go to the EEC, the last two to the ignition switch.
